Afternoon, I would like to know what systems, rules and procedures people have in place for dealing with alarm call outs. I think I know what I want to do but am interested in other peoples experiences. Scenario: Intruder Alarm goes off, no police response, alarm receiving centre calls 1st key holder who comes out, investigates alarm, and either re-sets alarm or requests engineer. Do you allow key holders to enter building alone? What systems do you have in place for ensuring their safety? Regards, Ian

We have an arrangement with out alarm monitoring station, we call them and stay on the line while we enter the unit to investigate (you could use another key holder on line) if there is an obvious sign of a break in we do not enter until the police arrive, as advised to us by the police and our insurance company (the police normally wait for a dog unit before they go in) why take overtly excessive risks.
