can anyone advise on the translation of iosh managing safely materials in particular to mandarin chinese!! or know if it has been done whether the materials are approved and commercially available

Tudor, There seems to me to be no point in having this material as it the course participants cannot undertake the course in the English language then they will not be competent to work with this information in effectively managing personnel working in the UK. Thus, they must become sufficiently competent in the English language before this qualification is valid for them in the UK. Otherwise how are they to manage personnel who do not speak & write Mandarin Chinese in an English speaking country? Or, once AGAIN are we as a nation going to positively discriminate against our native inhabitants.

The course is for foriegn nationals in the niddle east where the 'british standard' is identified as the benchmark

Hi Tudor Don't the CIEH and NEBOSH use mandarin? They could perhaps pass on contact details. regards Linda

Tudor - as I understand it - you write the course in whatever language you wish but you must get it approved by IOSH before use. May prove expensive though as you may need interpretors etc to get past the vetting and marking stages - all papers are still sent to IOSH before certificates are issued as far as I am aware. And remeber that the UK legislation only applies in the UK. David
