I am trying to put together a list of the different H&S legislation applicable for different countries around the world. My main focus is Construction legislation which seems to be more difficult to pin down. Obviously, in the UK, we have the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007. But what about in Japan, China, India, Saudi Arabia........etc. Please aid me in my quest, any help is appreciated!

In the Republic of Ireland, we have the construction Regulations 2006, The General Application Regulations 2007, also the Asbestos Regulations 2006, the latter may shortly change.

I suspect one third of the world has no or relatively little h&s legislation as we know it, one third of world has no construction specific legislation and the other third of the world is the EU which has the CDM Regs - God help us!

If you check this link from the ILO it has listings by country of H&S legislation in all countries. Some countires have active links to the law of the land of that country. http://www.ilo.org/legac...ork/cis/legosh/index.htm
