Could anyone provide me with the method of calculating an energy average (otherwise known as energetic mean.

You could look in the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, they have all the methods of calculating Sound Energy Levels etc.

It has been a few years since I did my noise course, but these aren't terms that I have come across when carrying out noise measurements, surveys etc. A quick google didn't really help either, I wonder if you could elaborate? I would be interested.
