friends what do people do with regards to providing adequate welfare facilities for refuse collection and grounds maintenance staff

Bob, assuming they are transient workers it is a difficult question. In the past I have recommended a mobile welfare unit, but this is for workers who are working out of one particular location. Reasonably practical is the only explanation I can offer.

Our refuse freighters are fitted with hot water wash basins. In the past I have recommended that formal agreements are made with other businesses to allow the use of their toilets (crews had made lots of informal arrangements in the past themselves direct with businesses). I know that some organisations have also issued keys for disabled toilets to crews as well.
