Looking for some info / suggestions on this. I work for a specialist liability survey mainly covering the UK mainland. Next week I am due to spend a few days in Ireland (Northern and ROI) and need to quickly brush up on the legislation applicable and the main differences from English and Welsh law. So far I've found this page - http://www.niso.ie/Porta...eview2008Legislation.pdf on the NISO website. This is a legislation summary. Is anyone aware of a site that lists the differences? Anyone with experience in UK / ROI working able to help out? Thanks.

Stevie: The Republic legislation is here: http://www.hsa.ie/eng/Legislation/ For NI, the best source of (recent) regs is probably OPSI, but you may need to know the subjects / topics you are interested in. If you get it wrong, I found some of the local advisors are quick to point it out and put you on the right track. Some time ago I did start to develop a 'comparison table', but it became obvious it would not meet our needs at the time and I abandoned the attempt. We reverted to the method of exploring each issue individually. I couldn't find a (free) table showing the differences and similarities... I'd be interested to know if you find one. Some of the differences are glaringly obvious when you put them side by side with UK legislation - but there are other, more subtle differences which tend to catch out the unwary. Good luck Steve
