I am involved to put traffic signs (warning signs, speed ramp, Prohibition signs, ) around the roads in our project which is located in Middle East, I know this type of job should be performed by Traffic Engineer but due to job requirement i have to do that, I am looking for the guidance or standard or comment to see how I could put these signs in the road, from which distance..etc Any Help much appreciated! The laws of the land that you are working in should be adhered to - try that area as a starter first e.g. Sweden is different to England so putting in signs etc to English specifications in a Swedish location is wrong

SHV: This is a huge subject which has it's own specialists... If you need a starting point, I suggest you look at the pdf of 'chapter 8' here: http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/tss/tsmanual/ 'Chapter 8' is effectively the bible for traffic management at roadworks in this country - BUT - REMEMBER - this is UK specification, and will probably be (very) different for other countries. I suspect that most Middle East will be UK similar, but others will be U.S. style markings, and others will be completely different.... Good luck. Steve
