Hi folks Just informed that i am going to have to pay £750.00 ex Vat to upgrade from my current IOSH Managing Safety Course i have vs 3.0 to 3.1, Can anybody tell me what would i be getting for my money for this upgrade who may have already shelved out this fee, as on the face of it, this seems extremely expensive. I have requested this from IOSH, and will no doubt speak with there marketing dept. I hope this upgrade is value for money and if so i will stand corrected.

Why do you want to 'upgrade'?
Agree seems an awful lot of money for probably not much.
I wouldn't bother.
Don't be conned by IOSH, there is more to safety than this organisation.

Just in case i should have explained i run this course and bought it a couple of years ago, i let my license lapse, pressure with other work and am now looking to renew my license, but have been informed the course has now recently received an upgrade and I will have to upgrade the current course i have before being issued a new license. So all told this is £160 for the license + £750 for the upgrade pack ex vat. So wanted to find out what are the main differences between the 2 courses, in other words what am i paying for

Can I suggest that you are using IOSH material - which has saved you a lot of hours to prepare - and are using the IOSH badge to sell the course??
I am also aware of companies charging in excess of £500 per head - and an IOSH guidance of 16 people per training session?
I do not know what you are charging but I bet you will not be out of pocket so pay up or deliver another course
