Dear All, I need to know when sand become airborne due to wind speed. Please let me know the wind speed which can blown up sands from ground level. Regards Saif

I also googled, and can add to Martin's useful post that it seems to be very complicated, and is determined by something called Bagnold's formula, which is well beyond my limited mathematical comprehension, John
