Anyone know why EH40 no longer includes an MEL for Acetic Acid? It used to be in the old copy of EH40, but it seems to have disappeared.

Anyone have a rational explanation, or is it just a typo?

Thanks,

In the process of redefining exposure limits as WELs instead of OESs and MELs, a lot of substances did not make it to the new lists (over 100). The document that mentions all of this is here:
http://www.hse.gov.uk/ab...hive/2004/091104/c06.pdf

I don't think the substances suddenly became safe!

Thank you! That's a great help.

I'll work off the old OEL instead - it just struck me as odd that it had disappeared from the list.
