Hi everyone, I am a health and safety advisor based in East yorkshire and am looking to get in to the oil and gas sector. I have experience with smaller scale hydrocarbon production and the production and use of coke oven gas. I recently interviewed for a job at a refinery but felt they were looking for more process experience ie on a larger scale and with oil and gas specifically. I am finding it difficult to get this experience and thus feel under qualified. I am willing to start at the bottom and am also willing to travel but seem to have hit a dead end. Does anyone have any tips or usefull info on how to get on to first rung of this ladder. I have the Nebosh general Cert and am studying for a BSc Hons Degree in Occ H&S at Hull University encorporating the Nbosh Dip and Envir Dip. Any help would be appreciated....Steve
