Hi

I have a Cognet Degree and for the third time I am looking towards attempting to pass the Open Assessment paper. I am findings that for the harder questions in the paper, I need to do research in some detail which is where I am failing to give a convincing reponse to the answer. Should I fail once more then I must look at other options of acheiving CMIOSH but what are they? I am self financing so if it means taking a further qualficiation to seek a different route then it needs to be priced reasonably

If you contact IOSH there is a mentoring facility that should be able to assist you with your Open Assessment.

Hi, i am on the gradiosh route that also requires the open assessement. my best advice is to look over the sample examiners reports as they indicate the stylisation and detail required per question. I havent had the displeasure....I mean pleasure of sitting the exam but have sat NEBOSH non open exams and to be honest the questioning is extreamly similar . The examiners comments are excellent and do provide an insight. Overall my advice is to go back to basics with you research "cognate" head on.

1) Sign up again and get the paper.
2) Get to the library, loaning the correct books, use internet resources where you can but dont just cut and paste

3) good luck.
