Risk Assessment for person coming in to work with a broken arm (inplaster)

Sorry if this has come up before.
Does any one have a risk assessment for some one returning to work with a broken arm.
It will be an office environment with occasional visits to properties (being driven around).
Many thanks in advance.

It depends on whether they have the use of the hand, and whether their arm is in a sling.
I broke my wrist and was in plaster - it made no difference to work except that I did not drive until the plaster came off.

The perpose of the plaster is to imobilise the affected part of the arm and allow the bone time to heal itself. If the plaster does not vause any difficulty to the affected person there should be no problem. Will the plaster affect the work, if not why do an unnessary risk assessment, if it does affect the work how can the work be done, a simple evaluation of the effect of the plaster and possible limitation of movement is all that is needed surely.

I agree with Bob, in that a formal RA is not really necessary. Make a judgement by discussing the matter with the injured person and agreeing on sensible precautions - job done.
