Hello Can any of you clever folk tell me if compressed air cylinders used for breathing apparatus are exempt from ADR? Am vaguely aware of some changes to ADR 2011, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for in it! Thanks in anticipation. H

Hi. 1.1.3.2 (c) in ADR 2011: The provisions of ADR do not apply to the carriage of Gases of group A & O if the pressure in the receptacle is not greater than 2 bar at a temp of 20 degrees c, and the gas is not liquefied or refrigerated and liquefied. This applies at every type of receptacle or tank, eg, parts of machinery or apparatus. Hope this helps
