Having successfully completed PTTLS last year and registered with CIEH as a level 2 workplace Health & Safety Trainer, I have now added the First aid at Work certificate to my qualifications.
Can anyone advise how I may gain a role as a training assistant to gain experience in delivering Basic first aid at work courses.
I know there are many commercial providers of First Aid Train the Trainer, but I'm afraid the bank manager wants to see the cash flow on my account reversing from red to black, so nothing available to gain experience / qualification this way.

just to clarify
have you attended an First Aid instructor course?
holding a First Aid certificate and a PTTLS does not qualify you to teach first aid
hope this helps

Thanks Ian.
That is the crux of my dilemma. All training I have undertaken to improve qualification levels have been 100% self funded and attended during annual holiday entitlement.
I know I cannot deliver First Aid Training without completing further training however, my bank manager demands I reduce my overdraft and so I cannot progres further unless I can find a way around the funding issue. Hence my thought that perhaps assisting in First Aid training Delivery would help develop my knowledge whilst I find a solution to the funding issue.
Just to clarify, I believe in continuously developing oneself, however it becomes increasingly difficult when income reduces year on year.
If, I could afford a First Aid Instructor Course, I would be booked on it.
