Is anyone aware of a company or organisation that can identify and quantify the risks of burning from hot particles to the skin and clothing?

Can you give further details about the process you are looking at?
There are some standards used in the petro-chem industry about heat radiated from flames/explosions and the tolerance to the heat given off etc.
Maybe these could be adapted.
I would guess there will probably be British Standards to look at as well. I do recall using one, but can't remeber which one right now, for a similar task.

We are attempting to quantify the risk of burns from a product that has the perceived potential to release hot particles. If you could recall the relevant standards that would be really useful.
Thanks

Your local A&E will give U the appropriate terminology as I am lead to believe that the older terms have changed

Hi Bob,
I think you are referring to degrees of injury i.e. superficial, partial thickness and full thickness. What I require is information on how burn damage is assessed, measured and it's probability based on heat/energy/size of particle etc. I cannot find anything and was hoping someone had,or knew of someone/organisation etc where I could obtain the information
