Hi All Can anyone give me some advice on the guidelines for shrink wrapping aerosols in a heat tunnel. We do some product repacking normally non-flammable products, we have been asked to shrink wrap 75ml aerosols into 5's, the product contains 40ml of flammable propellant, the heat tunnel is 134 degrees C. I guess the fact that there is no direct ignition source in the tunnel and the product only passes through for a few seconds means its okay, just a bit twitchy about LPG gas in a hot oven. Any advice or where to look would be great.

just read your post. do you have to use heat shrink wrap. I can understand your concern about LPG and heat. I wonder of you have thought of using either hand wrapped shrink wrap, or vacuum packs instead. Mike

This may be of some help to you. http://resources.schools.../16plus/aerosch4pg2.html I would consider a gas detector to ensure that there are no leakages from the consignment that needs to be wrapped. Andy
