At the site I work we have an Emergency Response Team who are trained to deal with first aid, fire and flood. We have always had the same training provider and have the same issues on each evacuation ie ERT not sure about roles and responsibilities. I am stuck with the ERT members (highly unionised so no one would take role if they were replaced) so I am looking to try another approach with different training. I would like to retrain them all to the same standard from scratch effectively assuming that they have had no training. I have approached the Fire and Rescue Service (North Wales) and have been informed that they do not do this type of training anymore and unfortunately cannot point me in the right direction in case of comebacks. So can anyone help me? I am after a provider that can provide a day long training session to our procedure bi-annually. I want a higher level than fire marshal but not to a petro/chemical level. I do not need breathing apparatus but do require some fire fighting and training on regular fire checks eg. Extinguishers in place, fire doors intact etc. Many of the companies that I have spoken to just do a standard half day fire marshal which seems quite generic, I would like something bespoke. Thank you in anticipation of getting some help. Ellwood

Just a quick note to say I've changed my user name from that one above (starts GC-) to this. Yep made a newbie mistake. Advice still stands.

Try Washington Hall International Fire Training & Development Centre based in Chorley Lancashire. Training Centre of the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. I think they do provide bespoke training as well.
