Afternoon all, Just a quick question please, I am being told that our evac chairs have to be inspected twice yearly and that this is a regulation. I have looked for guidance and connot find any. My feeling is this may be an ACOP. We visually check and record monthly and I feel this is ample. Any comments welcome Kind regards

Hi. I take it that they are like a wheel chair type product? IMHO these don't need to me inspected twice yearly as they don't perform a lifting operation. However, and inspection under PUWER would be needed. Its up to the risk assessment to say how long between inspections. Andy

Ask whoever it was that told you of the 6 monthly check for the source of the requirement.
