Dear All, I'm after some information on noise assessment training and would welcome some information on courses available, were they good, bad, indifferent, good value for money etc. At the end of the day once training has been completed I want to be able to carry out basic workplace noise assessments. I've had a look at the information from the Institute of Acoustics and the courses available through IOSH. Is anyone aware of any other certificated training which would meet the "competent person" requirements?

I did mine with SJK scientifics/Bilsom quite some years ago now. I thought the course was pretty thorough and there was a certificate of competency (I'll wait for the retorts to that) I would have thought that BOHS would be a reasonable place to start though.
