I am currently being interviewed for a job in my region.
The position is for a HSSEQ Advisor in a national chemical/logistics based company.
I have 5 years SHE experience.

Money is not the reason for the interest, but how much should a position be paying these days?

Thanks for any help.

would depend on the level of qualification you hold and if your experience is in a field relevant to the new role. The responsibilities in your new role will also have an influence, as to would the location.

Personally for an HSEQ advisor role (with a NEBOSH diploma / degree / NVQ 4) I would expect for the basic salary to be no less than £35,000 per annum but this only a ruff estimation as there are many variable factors to consider.

Me being Mr Cynical would say as little as they can possibly get away with especially in today's climate with so many h&s bods looking for work. See what they are offering and if you like both the company and the package that they are offering you then go for it - always assuming that you get offered the role.
Good luck.

As the role is not solely H & S a Nebosh Dip or equivalent H & S qual is not the main consideration. Security, Environment and Quality Management are of course connected but not covered by Nebosh. If you have appropriate competence in all areas I would suspect a package of around £40K plus company vehicle etc would be fair. Don't undersell yourself. Location is also a key factor...

Thank you all,

got the offer. Pretty spot on with the ruff estimates.
