I have been working in as a trainee H&S Advisor for over three years. I have gained substantial knowledge and experience in both educational (PGDip)and on the job.
I have been invited for an interview for a hospital H&S Advisor post and wondered if anyone could advise on interview tips and possible questions to expect.
Thanks

Emefa - if this post is for an NHS H&S Advisor role your best bet is to log onto the Trusts website and try to find out as much as you can about the organisation you are hoping to work for. A lot will depend on the type of services the Trust offers eg Acute, Mental Health, Specialist etc. You will also be able to find, sometimes with difficulty but do persevere, copies of H&S related policies and procedures on their web pages - these will tell you a lot about what is expected. Good luck.

You could always contact them and ask them about the structure and format of the interview eg is it competence based (ie qs looking for evidence of required skills and experience) or asking old fashioned provisional questions (eg what would you do in situation "x"?)
You should have been given a person spec and a job spec, expect questions relating to what is listed there.
Hope this helps

Following on from Pikeman - If you were given a contact name for further inquiries then make contact and ask if you could visit the hospital and have a look around. This is often frowned upon in the public sector but is considered the norm in the NHS and shows that you are interested in them. I know people who failed at the interview stage because they did not make contact and were seen as not being interested.
Good Luck

I would like to give you advised that don't think this is your final destination.be cool and relax on the interview day.your dress must be decent and according to modern style especially tie. you have to be honest don't think you can make them fool so just say what you know don't try to be over smart.remember employers always searching for personality those can bring changes to their organization.they hate people those can by pass them in future therefore just express your self as what you are and than let them decide about you. before going for interview just search in Google for tip.
