Hello

Can anyone give me the name of a good training organisation who can tailor health and safety courses
to suit my requrements. I am looking to take all our managers out of their place of work for one day
to be trained in for example managers responsibilities, accident investigations, risk assessments and method statements etc. I am based in northern ireland but we also have depots in liverpool, burnley, basingstoke and crawley. I appreciate any help.

Thats a lot to do in one day!

IOSH Managing Safely fits the bill although thats at least 4 days
There are lots of accredited course providers

A company trained some staff recently without insisting on a bespoke course and the staff said that the course was a waste of time and on evaluating it I agreed so lots of time & £ was wasted!

The point here is that U decide what U want and get a provider to provide it noting that the problem with most if not all 'approved' courses is that too much time is spent on talking law and not enough on what U actually want as an organisation/individual so make sure U get what U want!

Another course I looked at was manual handling where the first 3 hours was spent on law and its technical aspects - again a waste of everybodies time

This is the problem with "just finding some safety training".
The consistences & quality control is an unknown.
Which is why I recommended an accredited course from IOSH

Eddy - I'm a firm believer in putting together company specific training courses - you know the industry - you know the risk - you know the controls - you know the audience.

Is this something you have thought about? Do you have a training team to support?

Getting people in in my experience in not always the best way.

Save you some money too in the climate.
