Hello,
Would like to ask your opinion on something which i am not sure about. The other day a Contractor came onto our site to check / test gas meter. This meter is just outside of the fence but still on our waste land i suppose. Anyway the Contractor cut his hand on the door of the meter and then came into Reception to ask for plaster.
I am in doubt whether or not this should be classed as a First Aid Case in our statisitcs, we do not have a key for the meter and we are not responsible for the up keeping. They do not report into Reception when they arrive or fill in permit. They just turn up, do their check and normally go.
Not sure if we should be liable or not, your help, advice would be very much appreciated
Katie

Katie, offering a plaster to a passer-by has no effect on liability, any more than writing the incident down in a first aid book.

So is someone going to attend to that sharp edge on the enclosure, or will there be a similar debate next time? ;0
