Hi All
Would any member be kind enough to share an indepth template for an outdoor event risk assessment which will include musical performances, fireworks etc. The event will be accommodating 5000 people.
Many thanks for any help and assistance.

Hi Trudy
Need to know what you are trying to cover with the RA? Reason I ask this question is I have been involved oranising major public events for many years and have only ever produced an overall generic RA for the event on behalf of the organising company. The companies that provide specific things like fireworks and staging provide all the relevant paperwork for these activities i.e. RA, Method statement on how they will operate, safety data, build certificates etc. Emergency plans and crowd management are done as a standard operating procedure document. So the RA only identifies these hazards and controls are see relevant documentation and that you have checked and reviewed these documents, as you will have an RA that is unmanageable. Hope this helps

Hi Trudy, I have only dealt with small events, but I used the headings in HSG195 The Event Safety Guide to make sure I had covered the basics and build the project plan. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/hsg195.htmThe book covers a lot of what Police said and if you havent seen it could cover what you are looking for. HI All
Yes I have seen and got the HSG195 document, followed it last year too, but this years event is alot bigger with potentially 5000 attendees. Many thanks for the advice. It was just a template to put it all down on in a better format I was hoping for really.
