Hi All

this is a very broad question, but...Has anyone ever prepared a 12 month H+S rolling strategy?
if so do you have a template that you could share. A great deal of this would be down to time management and of course co-operation.

I was thinking of.

Meeting individual managers responsible for each area around 15 managers in total.
Spend around 2 Hours with them on an individual basis to coach in RA SSOW advise assist and guide and guide.
I may in turn choose a particular topic to discuss WFH etc
Review policy and procedures
once the cycle is completed action a work-place inspection

any thoughts?

Cheers

Dave

Dave,

my business plan for this year includes developing a health and safety strategy for the next 4 years. I am starting from scratch as the organisation has not had a strong health and safety culture previously.

I will be using each of the goals in the HSE strategy and tailoring them to suit our organisation e.g. HSE goal:To encourage an increase in competence, which will enable greater ownership and profiling of risk, thereby promoting sensible and proportionate risk management.
What we will do:
Identify health and safety accountability's, and define staff competency requirements through:
• incorporating into job descriptions health and safety accountability's stated within the organisations Health and Safety Policy
• defining health and safety competency requirements for high risk activities
• identifying and agreeing training and support through the appraisal process

Not sure if this helps you, will certainly be watching this thread pm me if you would like a chat.
