Hi
Wondering if anyone can help please, there is a list of Forum Members for SSIP has anyone had any experience with any of these Members and can they recommend any of them.
The reason I ask as I am getting conflicting information about the membership charges from the individual Forum Members, I am told one company charges a fixed fee and others may charge for additional audit fees.
Can anyone help?

Mels - All charge differently. I've dealt with several on behalf of my clients who've been pressured to gain "accreditation". I can't say I've been impressed with any of the ones I've dealt with. Most only assess paperwork and basically the contractor can send in anything they like. What happens in practice can be entirely different. One SSIP member even publishes "set" documentation you can download and "personalise" to make sure it meets their assessment criteria.
There's no substitute for making your own checks of contractors work practices on the ground.

SSIP member schemes are required to meet minimum common criteria for first-stage competency evaluation via pre-qualification questionnaire. PQQ is necessarily limited to paper systems. Not all SSIP member schemes are equal. Some SSIP members offer more, and there are other schemes out there who choose not to join SSIP.
Recommendation then would depend on what the contractor is looking for (which can often be translated as "what client pressure is he trying to accommodate?").

Thanks Dave and Ron
One of our customers is insisting that its suppliers register with one of the SSIP forum members, basically if you don't you will be struck of their supplier base.
Not wanting to loose business and also keep the customers happy I have no issue with completing the PQQ etc etc, it is just strange the conflicting information that you get when contacting these people and their pricing structure is different for each one.
I was just wondering if anyone had used any of these people and had any good feedback to give on them.
Thanks Mels

I suppose the blunt answer then, if the client isn't fussy, is to go with the cheapest - most likely a PQQ evaluation only scheme?

I assumed that they are all PQQ but charge different prices and had different requirements, hence me asking.
Thanks

Some offer much more than the common baseline core PQQ.
