The guy must have got his saddle the wrong way round. I can remeber another similar type of incident where a horse was kept in an upstairs bedroom. Apparently the horse was well looked after and fed well although it did not get much exercise as although it went up stairs OK it would not come back down. Takes all sorts I suppose.

In the mane there far too much horseplay around these days; why don't these people just saddle up and ride out of town the old fashioned way instead of relying upon these new fangled iron horses? Its these cowboys that give the UK a bad name; still I suppose this thread will spur more responses as long as there is no shooting from the hip; mind you saying that there are a couple of sharpshooters around so who knows? That is until the sheriff's intervene and shut the stable doors. Where's the whiskey barman?

Whilst I enjoy that kind of word-play, I tend to find it withers a bit after a while. I'm never one to rein-in that kind of thing though.

Stuie, did you make that up on the hoof or are you trying to stirrup trouble? Back on topic though, I think this just maybe being done as a bet or dare to get publicity. Let's hope it works out better than the recent tragic case of 'planking' where an Australian man died.

I use London Midland trains a bit fro Liverpool down south (cheaper than Virgin normally but longer journey). They have put this story on their twitter account with 'we only accept fold up ponies' Not sure if that is just in the rush hour or completely.

The poor man is maybe mentally ill and we all laugh. We all possess the ability to laugh at weakness, don't we.

So, can we not laugh at anything stupid anyone ever does in case they are "maybe mentally ill"?

Nope, every single stupid comment I have ever made on these forums was when I was temporarily 'mentally ill' so stop laughing at us....

and he might not be, he might just be using his common sense that everyone seems to think they have. Maybe the pony would have acted better than some of the animals that use public transport normally.

I once drove over a narrow bridge (B Road) and coming the other way in the middle of the road was a pony! It was being led by a bloke (Driver) in a van with the reins being held through the window. True story!
