I am looking for a Method Statement for setting up and firing of Cat 3&4 Fireworks to compare to the one prepared by a local Bonfire Society. They have qualified and experienced personnel (mostly ex military) who carry out this procedure. If possible the M/S should include emergency procedures in case of a misfire. Thanks very much in advance

Hi MEden380, I know its not exactly what you've asked for, but here are a few guidance documents provided by the HSE on organising firework displays. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/hsg123.htm http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/hsg124.htm

As above; whilst not exactly what your looking for the following links may be of some assistance in evaluating the method statement: www.tonywilk.co.uk/iosh/IOSH_presentation_web.ppt http://www.fireworksafety.co.uk/fws2010/?cat=6 http://www.hse.gov.uk/explosives/fireworks/ HTH Smitch

Worth contacting your local Council and/or Fire Brigade. Many LAs have approval/ authorisation processes for such events and have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
