Has anyone,im sure there is, completed the lead auditor course adn compared to the Nebosh general certificate how hard is it?

I would have rated the Nebosh general cert a 9 out of 10 as I completed it in the tow week block format and was blown out of the water regarding the ammount of information crammed in.

I have, it seems just secured a new position with a company and they are putting me through the leasd auditor course in June so would like some idea of what to expect

Anyone out there who could offer any advice I would, as always be very gratefull

It is intensive with "homework" each night and an exam on the fifth day. Oh and watch out for the role play ... thats good fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there

I did the QMS Lead Auditors course last year and I agree it was 'very' intensive. I thought as it was an open book exam there was no chance of failing and would be quite a chilled out course. As it turned out I was the only one that passed (there were only 4 of us though).
I previously done the IEMA Cert and Nebosh Gen Cert both by block attendance and would rate difficulty on a scale of 1-10:

Nebosh Gen Cert 8/10
IEMA Cert 10/10
Lead Auditor 7.5/10

I think that its down to you (have you audited before and gained experience?) and the tutor (can they communicate?).

I did my Lead Auditor course in Middle Aston. A cracking venue, two good tutors, good food, good accomodation on site and a good crowd. If you can do the NGC the LA course is not that hard. Make of it what you can, wind yourself up with worry or take on a negative attitude and it will do you no good. My advice is to take omega 3 fish oils. I do believe that they help to focus the mind and get you thinking straight. If you follow that advice start taking them toot-sweet, ie from this weekend.

The old auditors course was intensive and turned out flat-lined robotic bafoons who thought that they were just there to score points off victims and cash in a £400-500 cheque at the end of the day. The decent course venues have moved on with the times. Here's hoping yours is a good un.

Good luck.
