Does anyone know where to get any type of standard/best practice on construction of scaffold safety gates - we have had an issue with a scaffold company using a cut down heavy steel pole and a 45 degree swivel fitting.

NASC guidance does not seem to give any advice on best practice where the gate is not purpose made - most gates that use a small cut down pole should be of aluminium and have a plastic end to stop any injury when the pole drops.

Any advice would be appreciated
