Hi all, I have recently passed the Nebosh construction certificate and am now looking to enhance my chances of getting a full time position in OHAS by studying for a Nebosh diploma. I currently work in the construction industry so I am only able to do the diploma by distance learning. I have looked into both the national diploma and the environmental diploma and was wondering if anyone could tell me if the environmental diploma is as recgonised within the industry?. I understand that the national diploma covers a broader range of OHAS but would really like to know if the environmental diploma will enhance my chances of finding a job as much as the national diploma? any views on this will be much appreciated. Thanks

If I were you I would go for the national diploma. And I would do an IEMA approve course in environmental management. I have yet to see a job that asked for the nebosh environmental diploma. I am not saying it's not a good qualification to have , but most ohas jobs ask for the national dip

Graeme, djkbrown has given you excellent advice and I would strongly advise that you follow it. IEMA is essential.
