Morning,
Anybody using a DVD for fire warden training? If so, any comments would help as we're looking to use one in future and I have the job of sourcing a suitable product. Health and Social care, complex disability and palliative care settings, but to be honest any good product would do,

I think the FPA offer DVD in residential care home setting if that's what you are specifically looking at or is this for another type of social care setting?

It's that kind of setting, but the FPA residential home one is more on general fire safety, rather than fire marshaling, and we're considering e-learning for the general fire training in any event so are less interested in learning aids,

Morning John,
The FPA do a range of DVD's one of which is Fire Warden/Marshal training. Have a look at their site. The TIP packs are good as they include presentations and short exams.
I have used these in the past and have found them very good.

Thanks Phil, I previewed the FPA fire marshal DVD, it's always useful to get comments from somebody who's used it,

I have used the FPA DVD, the information is very general so needs to be backed up with a presentation to cover the specifics of any work environment. Showing the DVD also breaks up the presentation for those attending. The version I have also has a five minute section on use of fire extinguishers which is particularly useful if you are going to do practical use as part of the training.
