Hi GUYS

Did anyone attend the branch meeting last night in crewe.
I was unable to attend myself due to work commitments but would be really intrested
to find out what the advice was. and ultimatley scrounge copies of any handouts
that might have been generated

Yes I attended and to be honest it remains a personal choice to the individual.

The debate was interesting and in essence reflected many of the vocational / academic individual points of view voiced on this forum quite frequently.

Once point expressed made me think on how commerciality has crept into this debate. Originally I had always thought simplistically about it - its your choice - but it was interesting to see opinions on how academic courses have been dumbed down to maintain their share of the market V's vocational courses.

If this is true it has to be bad for the profession.

After this its definitely a diploma for me and it wont be NEBOSH - I will choose on of the University ones on offer.
