Hi folks
I am reviewing the types of disposable respirators we use and was wondering if anyone had any experience of P3 masks that provide a good face-fit for people (women mostly) with 'smaller' faces.
We currently have the 3m 8835 in 2 sizes (S/M & M/L) but 2 out of 3 women who have tried it have failed their fit-test, I am interested to see what alternatives are suggested. The 8835 mask seems quite bulky and uncomfortable when they wear it.
Input most welcome.

Since we started to do face fit testing this has been a perennial problem with these sorts of respirators, which seem to be largely designed for fat blokes not the petite (including some male) scientists we get here. 3M have a range of respirators that include smaller models some of which do fit smaller faces. (Other makes and models are available!) As well as disposables we have had for some individuals to look at non- disposables which seem to fit smaller faces better. For a few we have (after looking at all of the makes and models we could find) given up and issued them with powered positive pressure respirators (hoods)

Thanks for the help.
I'll give the Alpha-Solway ones a try, not come across those before.
A Kurdziel - I prefer the air-fed hoods but sadly they aren't suitable for some of the areas where we need to use RPE. I try and steer clear of the reusable masks because of the inspections and maintenance regimés that come with them!

We use "Scott Profile" as it comes in 3 sizes, small medium and large.
