Apologies if this has already been covered in the past but does anyone have any views either way on IOSH getting involved with environmental management topics/issues? I completed the NEBOSH Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management about 10 years ago and have noticed that in the last few years IOSH have steadily become more proactive on the environmental management side. Indeed the IOSH MS course module 8 is dedicated to this subject. I'm not suggesting this is a good or bad thing but is there a danger of drifting a little too far from the core focus of occupational health and safety? There are after all other organisations which are specifically dedicated to this area. I appreciate that many H&S Managers also have a role in environmental management, however many also have a role in quality management as well. Would love to hear what everyone else thinks.
