Guys Can any one help me. I am looking to design a fromal health and safety audit sheets for when I go on sites. We are a transport company and an engineering firm. Would anyone mind sharing their format or tell me where I can get ones. I just want to make sure I am asking the write questions and covering myself. Edy

Can we all try to stop using the word audit as if it is the proper word for a site inspection. Audits are an in depth review of the operation of all or part of a system. They should be periodic and not repeated at every site site visit. We generally inspect when we go out on site, or round the shopfloor. Bob

For iPhone or iPad there is an app called 'Site safety' which gives a structured inspection regime, produces a pdf which can then be e-mailed. It is not free but not much money - around £10 for the ability to carry out the visit, map it, list those taking part etc etc. There are probably others in the pipeline. regards, S
