Dear all, would like to seek your help on what site where i can use as a reference in coming up safety guidelines in transporting flammable liquid chemicals contained in a glass/aluminum bottles . If you are kind enough, you may also share if have one so that i can benchmark the good practices. Thanks a lot... Bobby

And by transport do you mean road transport, or carrying them about in a lab or so on?

Bobby I would need to know the chemicals involved, and the packsize. Depending on those answers you may be covered under limited quantities, if tranporting by road. Regards mike

Bobby Tend to agree with other posters - if transporting outwith the lab etc we would need to know - there are different codes for transport by road, by rail, by air and by sea. All are based on the same UN database, but with differing requirements in respect of packaging, seperation and segregation etc.

As other posters have said you need to provide more details of product, method of transport (road - ADR, rail - RID, sea - IMDG or air - don't know relevent code), national or international or is it transport within a private facility, quantity you want to move and in what size containers. Movement of dangerous good is governed by complex regulations and the requirements can change for the same product dependent on the above criteria. There are dangerous goods courses run by various companies which help you understand the transport regulations.
