I am currently implementing a Permit to Work system, my previous company had Permit to Work books printed specifically to cover their risks, this is an option open to me, but would take some time to draw up the permit and get the books printed. Has anyone tried the Permit to Work books that are available from H&S suppliers such as Seton, if so do they meet your needs. I have found several different books on the Internet, but the do not allow you to see what is actually on the permit and I am loathe to spend money if they are not suitable for our needs.

I would be grateful for any feedback on ready printed Permit Books

Hi Carol.
We use SG World. I have connection with the company other than as a customer.

The permits suit our needs without being altered. You do have the opportunity to customise.

Hope this helps.

Also ask your insurers if they have anything suitable. A lot of insurers place this type of document on their websites (usually under risk management) and they are freely accesible, even if you are not a policyholder. If it is in .doc format, you can then amend to suit your needs.

The RSA one is here - https://www.rsaconnect.r...opertyRiskManagement.asp

Aviva stuff here - https://help.aviva.co.uk...it&kb=&industry=

Axa stuff here - http://www.axa.co.uk/bus...e/risk-management-guides - look under fire risk management

Zurich version here - http://www.zurich.co.uk/...C3CE/0/hotworkpermit.pdf

Thanks for all your replies, it never ceases to amaze me how much information there is out there if we only know where to look for it
