A plumber has a single small 450g can of propane carried with him to each job in his van......what are his ADR requirements? My thoughts are that he would not have any due to "limited and excepted quantities" but it has been a while since I have had to deal with ADR and I need to be really sure before I answer him.....looking for one of you knowledgable lot to help to save me some time before I have to go trawling through the "manual"

I am not sure of ADR regulations, it may be that tools of the trade are not considered to be "goods".
However, under the IMDG (uses similar criteria to ADR) propane UN1978 has a "limited quantity" of nil, and similarly "excepted quantity" of nil.
Therefore propane, unless outwith the ADR requirements, must comply with the full regulations.

Thanks for the reply.
Ive trawled through the regs/guidance and the propane gas bottle is ADR exempt!
