Dear All,
We are planning to take OHSAS 18001 certification (ours is a power and desalination plant), can anyone suggest me the benefits of such certification and how to initiate the certification process or where to contact etc.?

If so contact BSI

Or any of the other accredited certification bodies - not just BSI. There is also LRQA for example who have a great deal of experience in a number of business sectors I believe.

Vinod, There is some excellent IOSH Guidance that is useful, although not specific to OHSAS 18001. Before looking at the benefits, ask yourselves why you would want to be certified in the first place.
That will then give you the benefits of being certified.
