Fellow colleagues

I am interested in expanding the theme of 'psychosocial risk factors' within my organisation and am looking for additional examples/research material to aid my research.

The HSE have data on this here:
http://www.hse.gov.uk/msd/mac/psychosocial.htm

However I am looking at more examples and effective control measures from your experience/s.

All positive responses/comments and links are welcome

Thank you

Rick, I suspect you are aware of the HSE's Management Standards for occupational stress, if not - http://www.hse.gov.uk/stress/standards/

Psychosocial risks, stress, ergonomics or whatever you like to call it, is a very complex area and probably not fully appreciated from a occupational perspective. Management and controls tend to be driven as much by civil case law as much as anything else, mostly due to the lack of specific legisalation in this area. You could probably do no worse than to Google 'psychosocial risks' and you will find a plethora of documents.

Thank you, I've tried this which didn't give me too much useful data.

I am particularly interested in psychosocial factors relating to activity risk assessments i.e.
Repetitive tasks
Shift patterens etc
Workloads etc

Any further suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you

IOSH commissioned research by Univ of Sheffiled entitled "Unacceptable Behaviour, Health & Well Being at Work"; you may find something of use or interest in this.
You can downlaod the full report from the Research part of the IOSH web site.

Hope this helps
