Hi,

The best way to review a legal compliance register - I would be grateful for pointers in the right direction

Many thanks,

Paul.

There is no requirement for a Legal Compliance Register under the ISO9000 etc standards

There is a need for

Identification of the relevant legal and other requirements

AND a separate clause for

A procedure to demonstrate that ongoing compliance is achieved

Which do you mean?

Bob

The latter - is it a case of reviewing all operations and cross referencing with the relevant regs?

In that case, you need to identify the relevant legal requirements for your organisation and check whether it is complying with those legal requirements. It will depend to some extent what industry sector your organisation is in. A spread sheet or table will suffice identifying whether you have a policy or procedure covering that requirement and possibly comments section.

That is not legal compliance -It is identifying the relevant legislation applicable to the work.

Legal compliance is concerned with the full and proper implementation of legislation at all times within the organisation - This involves identification of relevant requirements, record requirements and suitable monitoring programmes to ensure compliance is ongoing.
