Could someone give me some advise please on how companies who have fitting teams in vans travelling around the UK and further ensure they don't fall foul of the Firs Aid requirements. All the teams we have with the company that I am working with are fitted out with First Aid Kits (manintained) Fire Extinguishers, COSHH MSDS Sheets and risk assessments. They are have all been through Induction training etc.
It's not a major problem to the company but would appreciate some clarity.
Thanks

Hi Andy,
Are any of the team members traines as first aiders (3 day course)or as first aid at work responders (1 day course)? A first aid kit is not a huge help if no-one is told how to use it.
Do your site risk assessments include loca details of nearest hospitals, post code of where they are working for emergency vehicle response etc?
Similarly it makes a difference if your teams are fitting windows or electrics or gas etc.
HSE website has the free download of L74 to check the regulatory aspect.
