Good morning all, Has anyone got any information on reversing vehicles at night or day. I have a list of hand signals but am looking for use at night and any equipment which may be necessary as well. Any pictures would be a bonus. Many thanks in advance Glen

Hi, the main problems with reversing at night is that the signaller / banksman usually cannot be seen giving signals. Have you considered the use of a pair of walkie talkies to improve communication? PH2

Hi The use of a well thought out lighting scheme is your obvious option here, taking care with the lux levels as intense light can dazzle and possibly be more of a danger to the driver/ banksman/ employees with them experiencing temporary block of vision whereas too low could create not enough visibility. Couple this with a well planned traffic management plan and restricted access areas to personnel and then top with a visible reversing light/ audible alarm on the vehicle. Hi-visibility also required as well - interesting to see if anyone knows of recommended lighting or vehicle accessories that help with this? I know not very specific but hope it helps and if I find anymore I will post for you
