Hi All,
I live in Shepperton Middlesex and am looking for some health and safety work experience to build on what I already have.
I have the Nebosh General Certificate and 1 years health and safety experience in a facilities management role carrying out health and safety risk assessments, DSE assessments and organising health and safety training.
I am also working towards the Nebosh Diploma which I hope to complete by early next year.
Please can anyone let me know if there is anything suitable for me to get some additional work experience to build on what I already have.
Thanks

Take a look at the shadowing scheme. This is a scheme set up to help Graduates or Graduate calibre members, and offers opportunities for them to "shadow" HSE professionals. You won't get paid as it's a voluntary scheme, but you'd get paid reasonable expenses. Alternatively contact Carolyn Issett who can answer your queries about the scheme.
If you're on benefits, you can only do a maximum of 12 weeks, so as to not lose your benefits.

I found this by looking on the "about us" page of IOSH's main site, then using search term "shadowing". The first link that comes up is this one. Take a look, and halfway down, you'll find her email address.

I'm also hoping that as a result of participating in this scheme, it will lead to my first post too.
Good luck!
