Hi , can anyone give me some guidance please. My company services electrical components in controls panels and as part of the service we wish to dump the obsolete parts on behalf of the client. Do we need a special licence or paperwork?
Thanks for all help,
Carrickman

Dump' is not a word that is used these days and the various licences/paperwork packages etc alongside the training that is needed all depends on the type of waste you are looking to recycle!
U need to update yourself with the WEEE regs to start with and then all the other environmental and transport areas that apply but I would rather advise contacting a local to the work area waste removal specialist as if you have not dealt with the EA before they are not [in my experience] as easy going as the HSE and the accompanying fines are real
Additionally your company appears to need the services of an IEMA member or similar so againt contact a specialist

Contact the Waste Management Industry Training Board http://www.wamitab.org.uk/ they are based in Northampton and are an excellent source of information and training. Agree with Bob - try not to use the word 'dump'!!! Has bvsions of country lanes and laybys full of stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You removed them - they are your waste according to the regs NOT the clients.
As stated above these are to be recycled sfrp and not DUMPED
