Can anybody tell me how drainage interceptors work? I have scanned WWW but cannot find an answer. Ta.

Normally through a series of baffles (wiers) and filters which trap oil / grease / solids. Can you be more specific as to your requirements, or is it simply interest?

Thank you 29600, mainly interest - do you know where I can get a diagram or such like that shows the system?

Google "oil interceptors". Loads of info and diagrams out. Small units are sometimes called grease traps.

Have a look on the Environment Agency's website at Pollution Planning Guides; I believe interceptors are in PPG 3. PPGs are a very good resource.
