A quick question - We have a SL10 Genie lifting device - manually operated.
How often does it need an insurance examination (if at all). We have electric scissor lifts that are serviced and examined every six months, so arranging a formal inspection is not a problem.

You should be on a 12 month cycle in general terms as it does not lift people. Unless of course you are using it in harsh environments when even 3 months may be required, dependent on your competent testing person.

Note, that a although a TE may be required it doesn't necessarily have to be done by your insurer (i.e. as such there is no such thing as an "..Insurance examination..") although many insurer's provide this service within the within the terms and cost of the policy
