I appreciate that this question has probably been asked a thousand times, but the search tool on this site just won't work for me...

Does anyone know of any really good chairs that will give support during pregnancy, I've googled loads but would appreciate any advice...

Ken, you don't say what sort of work this person is doing. I have done any number of Mat assessments for office/desks based workers and other than one isolated occasion I have not suggested or recommended a 'special' chair other than a good quality chair with the usual range of adjustable features. Extra lumbar support if needed can be 'added' using a suitable lumbar support cushion.

Seriously, I've used a couple of those in the past, and have found them to be excellent chairs (if expensive).

They are also a good substitute for dumbell training, as pulling the straps provides more than enough exercise...

You make a valid and serious point, I was in full consultation with the Assessee and Occupational Health while making this assessment and recommendation. WE had a full hours meeting about making such assessments.

I wonder how many people actually realise that undertaking pregnancy workstation (especially with diagnosed pregnancy induced conditions), and also back to work (after injury) assessments are really dodgy areas as you will be making suggestions that may affect medical conditions, something that most should be wary of...
